About

I’m a wife and mother living in the Mile High City.  Six years ago I followed my passion and went to culinary school.  After school (and an amazing European culinary tour) I worked in a bakery making wedding cakes then moved to a catering business as an event coordinator.  Three years ago I left my career to stay at home full time with my son.  We were thrilled to add a little girl to our family last year.

Lately I have found myself uninspired in the kitchen.  With the challenges of caring for two little ones, a house and trying to have a life with my husband, I have put my passion on the back burner.  Convenience foods were slowly starting to creep into my pantry and freezer.  Not that all convenience foods are bad, but I was getting lazy and it wasn’t making life easier.  This blog began as my attempt to get back to what I love most – food.

The name Feeding My Sunshine takes on two meanings for me.  First it involves the meals that I provide my family.  My husband and two kiddos are my “sunshine” and I strive to feed them simple, nutritious and delicious food.  It also stands for investing in anything that is fulfilling.  Here at Feeding My Sunshine, you will find not only recipes and cooking techniques, but also stories about raising my family, caring for my home, doing the things that make me the happiest and forgetting about all the rest.

If you have questions or comments, send me an email – I would love to hear from you.  You can also find me on Facebook and Pinterest.  Also, if you enjoy my site, you can subscribe at the bottom of this page  to get my blog via email!
